And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
