Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 On the Day of Judgment, when the pious people will be brought into the presence of the Beneficent God as the guests of honor 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 indeed, He has full cognizance of them, and has numbered them with [unfailing] numbering; 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
