Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
