Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honorable recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
