The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the racers, panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
