Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So you and your deities 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 What though they would say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
