Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other such torments. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
