And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
