The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the star when it goes down. 1 Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. 2 And he speaketh not of his own desire. 3 It [the Quran] is nothing but revelation sent down to him. 4 He was taught by [an angel] who is mighty in power, 5 One vigorous; and he grew clear to view 6 being on the higher horizon. 7 and then drew near, and came close, 8 And was at a distance of two bows' length or (even) nearer, 9 So Allah divinely revealed to His bondman, whatever He divinely revealed. 10 The heart [of the Prophet] did not misconstrue what he saw. 11 What, will you dispute with him about what he sees! 12 For indeed he saw him at a second descent, 13 to the Lot-tree (in the seven heavens) 14 Near which is the garden, the place to be resorted to. 15 When there comes to the Lote Tree, that which comes 16 The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit]. 17 He certainly saw the greatest (signs) of the existence of his Lord. 18 (Can anything as such be considered true) of al-Lat, al-Uzza, 19 as well as [in] Manat, the third and last [of this triad]? 20 Are there sons for you, and daughters for Him? 21 Then that is surely a very unjust distribution! 22 They are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which Allah hath sent down no authority. They follow but their fancy, and that which pleaseth their souls; whereas assuredly there hath come unto them from their Lord the guidance. 23 Shall man have whatsoever he wisheth for! 24 To God belong the End and the Beginning. 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
