▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
