Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a sublime garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and prepared goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 you are not their keeper. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
