3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
