(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
