The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 has created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
