The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the terrible calamity! 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 On that Day people shall become like scattered moths 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 And for one whose scales prove light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
