The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

3 verses, revealed in Mecca after Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh) before The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By Al-'Asr (the time). 1 Verily Man is in loss, 2 Except those who accepted faith, and did good deeds and urged one another to the truth – and urged one another to have patience. 3

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
