And We have built the heaven with hands (the Divine Power), and it is We Who give the expanse. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 50 And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
