Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 who created death and life, that He might try you which of you is fairest in works; and He is the All-mighty, the All-forgiving -- 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord, is the punishment of hell; and what a wretched outcome! 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 as though it will burst with rage. Every time a multitude is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: “Did no warner come to you?” 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 And they will say, “Had we listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of hell.” 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward. 12 Be secret in your speech, or proclaim it, He knows the thoughts within the breasts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
