Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
