The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
