Al-nahl 15 of 16
On the Day when every soul will come disputing for itself, and every soul will be fully compensated for what it did, and they will not be wronged. 111 Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do. 112 A Messenger from their own people came to them and they called him a liar. Torment struck them because of their injustice. 113 Therefore eat the lawful and good sustenance Allah has provided you, and be grateful for the blessings of your Lord, if you worship Him. 114 He has forbidden you only carrion, blood and the flesh of swine; also any [flesh] consecrated in the name of any but God. But if anyone is forced by dire necessity, not desiring it or exceeding his immediate need, God is forgiving and merciful towards him. 115 And do not utter falsehoods by letting your tongues declare: "This is lawful" and "That is unlawful," thus fabricating lies against Allah. Surely those who fabricate lies against Allah will never prosper. 116 A passing brief enjoyment (will be theirs), but they will have a painful torment. 117 We had made unlawful for the Jews all that we told you before. We did not do any wrong to them but they wronged themselves. 118 To those who commit sins in their ignorance then repent and reform, your Lord is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 119

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
