Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
