Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son. 3 And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. 4 We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God, 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 And we stretched towards heaven, but we found it filled with terrible guards and meteors. 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.). 11 And that we know that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight: 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Quran, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell). 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 When the servant of God stood calling on Him, they were wellnigh upon him in swarms. 19

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
