"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 [having been received with the greeting,] "Enter here in peace, secure!" 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Inform My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham 51 When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 Abraham asked, "Are you giving me the glad news of a son in my old age? What reason can you give for such glad news?" 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, excepting those that are astray?' 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." 60
