Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
