The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 that hide, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So whither do you stray? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
