Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
