The Calamity! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 but he whose weight is light in the Scale, 8 shall plunge in the womb of the Pit. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
