3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
