We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
