Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
