Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
