The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is The Book free of doubt and involution, a guidance for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish prayer, and out of that wherewith We have provided them expend. 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 6 Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). 7
