And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and do good works as those who spread corruption in the earth; or shall We treat the pious as the wicked? 28 [All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)]. 31 And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]." 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And We indeed tested Sulaiman, and placed a dead body on his throne – he therefore inclined towards His Lord. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 We made the wind subservient to him, to blow gently wherever he desired at his command 36 as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 “This is Our bestowal. So give or withhold as you wish without account.” 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
