(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
