No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
