In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
