The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
