The tribe of Thamud also rejected Our warnings: 23 they said, "Are we to follow a man from amongst ourselves? We would surely then fall into error and madness. 24 Was there none but he to whom the Reminder could be vouchsafed excluding all others? Nay; he is an insolent liar.” 25 (We told Salih), "Tomorrow they will know who is the most arrogant liar. 26 Behold, [O Salih] We are letting loose this she-camel as a test for them; and thou but watch them, and contain thyself in patience. 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them; every share of the water shall be regulated. 28 Then they called their fellow, and he took the sword and hamstrung her, 29 How then were My chastisement and My warnings? 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 We have made the Koran an easy Remembrance, is there any that will remember! 32 The people of Lot denied the warning. 33 We sent down upon them a violent sandstorm (which destroyed them all) except for the family of Lot, whom We saved in the early morning by Our favor. 34 as a favour from Us. Thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 Surely Lot warned his people that We shall seize them (with Our chastisement), but they doubted the warnings. 36 And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 37 And indeed, abiding suffering did befall them early on the morrow: 38 “So taste My punishment, and My warnings!” 39 Easy have We made the Qur'an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
