In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
