The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Whoever is given the Record in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 Once, he lived joyfully among his family 13 Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them do not bow in adoration? ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
Almighty God's Truth.
