And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
