Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
