And if they call you a liar, say: My work is for me and your work for you; you are clear of what I do and I am clear of what you do. 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 Some of them will look at you, but are you supposed to guide the blind even if they have no vision? 43 Surely God wrongs not men anything, but themselves men wrong. 44 And the day He shall muster them, as if they had not tarried but an hour of the day, mutually recognizing one another; lost will be those who cried lies to the encounter with God, and were not guided. 45 And whether We show you some of what We promise them, [O Muhammad], or We take you in death, to Us is their return; then, [either way], Allah is a witness concerning what they are doing 46 For every people there is an apostle; and when their apostle is come the matter is decided between them equitably, and no one is wronged. 47 They say:'If what you promise is true, when will this threat be fulfilled?' 48 Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." 49 Say thou: bethink ye, if His torment come on you by night or by day which portion thereof would the culprits hasten on? 50 Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatient 51 The wrong-doers will then be told: 'Suffer now the abiding chastisement. How else can you be rewarded except according to your deeds?' 52 And some people ask thee, "Is all this true?" Say: "Yea, by my Sustainer! It is most certainly true, and you cannot elude [the final reckoning]!" 53
