The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 that hide, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
