The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
