The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
