Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
