Say: Who guardeth you in the night or in the day from the Beneficent? Nay, but they turn away from mention of their Lord! 42 Do they have some Gods who protect them from Us? Neither can they save themselves nor save their friends from Us. 43 Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will overcome. 44 Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned! 45 If a blast of the torment of your Lord strikes them, they will say, "Woe to us! We have been unjust people." 46 And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant. 47 And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion (of right and wrong) and a light and a Reminder for those who keep from evil, 48 Who are fearful of their Lord inwardly and dread the Hour. 49 This is a blessed Remembrance which We have sent down. Do you disbelieve it? 50
