(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
